Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why don't I just clean my bins myself?

Because it wouldn’t be as effective and it’s GROSS!

Doing it yourself will result in using ten times as much water as us and in order to sanitize the can even a little bit you’ll need to use toxic chemicals that will end up all over you, all over your driveway and running into your storm drain – not to mention breathing them all in. Manual cleaning only scratches the surface and does not get rid of all the invisible germs, bacteria and diseases that breed in your trash cans such as Tuberculosis, Strep, Staph, E-Coli and Salmonella. The detergents that we use are biodegradable and don’t hurt the environment like household cleaners,  and combined with up to 200 degrees hot water and high pressure we are able to thoroughly clean and sanitize your trash cans, hauling away the dirty water and disposing of it responsibly. We also deodorize afterwards, meaning no more stinky garage.

  • How often should my trash and recycle bins be cleaned?

We recommend cleaning and sanitizing your bins at least every two weeks for the cleanest possible bins.

  • Does someone need to be home to have them cleaned?

No, just make sure the cans are visible and accessible. With your permission we are happy to collect trash cans from behind fences and gates or from inside your garage, and we will always replace them there afterwards. Just let us know where to find them and we’ll do the rest.

  • What if I don’t remember the day you’re coming?

You don’t have to, we always send text and email reminders two days before we visit.

  • What if we are going to be out of town or we forget to leave the cans out or be emptied?

We get it – Life happens! We are very flexible and always happy to work around your busy schedule. Just let us know BEFORE the day we are due to visit and we will be happy to reschedule you.

  • Can you still clean my trash can if there is loose trash or bagged up trash in it?

Unfortunately we cannot clean trash cans containing loose trash, glass, feces, grass cuttings, tobacco or construction material, but we don't mind removing one tied up sack of trash and returning it afterwards.

  • What if I change address or move outside of your service area?

    Congratulations on your new home!

Please keep us up to date with any changes to your contact information, especially if you move house, so that we may update it in our system. If you now have different trash cans that came with the new house, and they are not the ones that we have been regularly maintaining for you, then there will be a $10 surcharge per can for their first clean.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds if you move outside of our service area, but you are welcome to give any remaining cleans left in your account to a friend or neighbor; just give us their information and we’ll take care of the rest.

  • How will I know that my bins have been cleaned?

The easiest way to tell is to have a look and a good sniff – if we’ve been, the trash can won’t just LOOK great, it will SMELL great too! You will also receive an email and a text notification from your driver, telling you that he has completed your service.
